Amazing spot. I've stayed at Pagoda Lodge a few times over the years, and can vouch for always receiving a warm welcome from the hosts and for the location being stunning in summer or winter. Pagoda Lodge is such a gorgeous location, with a fantastic array of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets in a stunning setting, that we decided to get married there this summer. We invited our guests to come stay with us for 3 days at Pagoda Lodge, and they all raved about their holiday away. It is testiment to how wonderful it is that some people extended their holiday to stay on a few extra nights, and that others are already talking about returning. As others have said, Stephen is a welcoming host, who genuinely wants to ensure that all his guests have a wonderful stay. If you have the opportunity to visit Pagoda Lodge lodge, do it - you won't regret it and I'll bet you go back again.

We stayed in one of the safari tents and it was a terrific experience! All the hard work had been done for us and we were able to enjoy the sound of the river and the native bird song from the comfort of our deck. The tents are very comfortable. The owners were personable, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the experience of the safari tent!

Fantastic place with very welcoming hosts. We stayed here for 3 nights in early November 2011. We'd planned to visit the Bay of Islands, but opted not to stay in Paihei as Pagoda Lodge just looked too good to miss out on - and Kerikeri is only a short bus ride from Paihei if you really want to do the activities there. When we arrived Stephen made us very welcome. Our tent was right down on the waters edge, and he even provided us with some fresh milk so we could have a brew before heading into town to stock up. Facilities were great, well maintained. And the grounds themselves were stunning. It was really nice getting away from it all and sleeping in such a secluded spot. It's around a 20-30 min walk into Kerikeri itself (a pleasant walk at that!) and there are plenty of cafe's and pubs/restaurants to eat in. There is also a great pub/restaurant just over the hill (10-15 min walk) called the Pear Tree which is well worth a visit.

If you want the perfect place to get away, with a beautiful, serene setting, and the nicest owners on the entire island catering to your every need, then Pagoda lodge is it. Steve, the owner, could not have been more helpful, and we were more than needy group. The area is also gorgeous. There's a quaint river that runs right along Pagoda lodge with kayaks that you can rent to paddle around for an adventure. I could not speak of this paradise any more positively. My friends and I had a great experience and I urge everyone to visit the lodge and stay at least a night, maybe six.

We stayed for an incredible week and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and delightful bird song whilst camping at Pagoda Lodge in Kerikeri. Our hosts Stephen and Kathy made our stay the most enjoyable holiday we've ever had up in New Zealand and we will be returning every year. Camp site facilities were excellent and we thouroughly enjoyed kayaking down the beautiful river.
